What interests me in this painting, apart from the surrealism, is the repetition of shapes between the chops, the sides to the door at the back, the opening to the rock building, her hair and the shadow behind her shoulder. The tonal contrast around the door at the top right draws the eye.
We are a group of professional artists in Western Australia who open their studio/galleries to the public at the end of October each year. The artists are painters, sculptors, jewelery makers, photographers, stained glass artists, print makers, ceramicists in a wide variety of media and styles. Our web site at www.mundaring-hills-open-studios.org.au is well worth a visit. Most of us show and sell work in our individual web sites and many of us open our studio/galleries throughout the year
